I visited this restaurant for lunch and it was so amazing I went back the next day for dinner. The restaurant is in a hotel but it still has a pretty gorgeous set-up. Our waiter was so attentive and very helpful with the menu. We were able to try the tuna crudo and it was delicious. It was literally perfect. I also tried the smoked beets. I loved everything about the dish. It was light but so savory. For my main dish, I ordered the crab cakes and they were amazing!!!! You have an option of one or two and I went with 2 so that I could save the second for later. The triple potato fries were sooooo good. This is now one of my favorites places that I have been to lately.

I had a great dinner here. I liked the cocktails. The BDT fries were great. They were cut thick, and were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The duck was delicious and cooked well. The sauce that came with it went well with the duck. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant. It had a modern, minimalistic vibe.

Beautiful, light-filled space with excellent service and locally-sourced food. The brunch menu had a little of everything you could hope for. Fairly pricey but delicious.

Fantastic service, gorgeous location, and absolutely stunning modern design. This place is located in Park Hyatt, which is a 5-star luxury hotel in Washington, DC. I stayed a night here and tried their Blue Duck Tavern restaurant twice! This place is a Michelin-distinguished dining in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, DC. I came here for their breakfast and brunch on a Sunday morning. Their prices range between 20s-30s with relatively smaller but filling portion sizes. I had their duck confit in the morning with a green tea latte and an avocado toast at noon. The duck confit ($29) -- underwhelming. It came with a perfectly poached egg but the potato and duck were not spectacular for a Michelin restaurant. It had a succulent flavor with some oil and juices coating the bottom but the overall flavor was lacking. There's a biscuit on the side to add to an even more heartier feel to this dish. The avocado toast ($23) -- simple but pretty presentation. Arugula, poached egg, and avocado -- always a fantastic combination that is hard to mess up! I would definitely order this again.

My first review of 2024. I came on a Thursday night at 7:30p. This beautiful restaurant is located inside the Park Hyatt Hotel. Our server's recommendation was to start with the bone marrow. It was severed with roasted garlic to smother over the bread. Delicious! Known for their duck obviously, we went with the whole duck. It was delicious. Tender and flavorful. I was surprised that the duck with severed with grits, pickled vegetables, and a fruit glaze in the middle. I also liked how they cut the duck up into pieces. It was more than enough for two people. I had a whole half to take home. For the sides we ordered mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was delicious! I'll be back.

I've eaten here on multiple occasions and was very underwhelmed why it had a Michelin star. That chef left in 2000 and went their star. I stayed at the hotel this evening and was quite hesitant eating here again, but this time around I must say, I had a really good dining experience. We sat in the dining room with a good view of the open kitchen. It wasn't loud or too quiet and can have an easy conversation. Came with complimentary bread service. Our waiter was friendly enough and was very pleasant. They don't have a kids menu but they will create a dish for them. My girl had pasta with tomato sauce. The sauce wasn't too much so she poured in the grated cheese. It was good. The bone marrow slathered in roasted garlic with the toasted bread and spreads it with the marrow, wow, that was fantastic. The crab cakes and duck breast with confit was spot on! The crab cakes with that tarter type sauce and frisée salad were so good. But the star had to been the duck breast. It was so moist and really good flavor. Duck confit was nice and crispy. Was too full for dessert and left the place feeling happy. It's not cheap place paying $310 for one starter, three entrees (one was kids entree), two sides (potato purée was to die for!!), and three cocktails with tax and tip.

We first came for a snack and drinks, then dinner, and finally breakfast the next morning. Each time service was superb and we left satisfied. The fries were hot and crispy. For dinner absolutely the best potato purée! The bone marrow is a must have with the baked garlic! For breakfast the biscuit with my duck hash was the star. The hash was missing some crispy skin and a bit greasy. Surprisingly, the rosemary potatoes (aka crispy potatoes) was very good! The blueberry muffin from the pantry basket is the best I have ever had! The restaurant vibe was modern and the windows floor to ceiling were nice. I would definitely come back.

Blue Duck Tavern is an upscale restaurant located in a Hyatt in the West End of DC. Went for dinner the first time back in August. The decor of the restaurant is contemporary, but open. It does feel like you're in a hotel lobby. The service we received fine. The food we had was very good. Nothing exceptional. Started of a with an arugula salad and complimentary bread. My beverage of choice was a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. My entree was the tea poached halibut with celery veloute aka celery foam. The fish was mild, but I didn't taste any of the tea. I had a bite of the duck and that was very rich and seasoned well. For dessert we shared a slice of the Virginia peanut chocolate cake which was delicious. Overall I would consider returning again on someone else's dime.

Blue Duck Tavern is a solid brunch spot! The pancakes were good, and I enjoyed the avocado toast as well. I wouldn't recommend the matcha. The hand cut fries and harvest salad were also solid options. We had the burger and that was good too. Overall, a cute spot!
